Throwback Thursday | Can We Just Talk About 'Tunes In The Dunes' For A Sec?

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to re-cap on 'Tunes In The Dunes' last Sunday, I thought I'd start off by talking you through my day...

I woke up around 8.30/9ish, had some laptop time and then Nicole and I made pancakes. We then started getting ready and I'm talking the whole works, hair, make-up, temporary tattoo's and deciding what to wear was a nightmare. I ended up wearing a grey top and velvet kimono from New Look, with my black Topshop Joni Jeans, with my trusty Clark boots and karki jacket from George @ Asda. We then left to catch our bus around 12 ish, we were a bit early so we went for a drink in Costa and after that we began heading off to Perranporth. The weather wasn't great it was misty and that horrible drizzly rain, that makes your hair go really frizzy but, it brightened up in the evening.

It was a two minute walk from the bus stop to the festival and while we were queuing up for our tickets, I had an awkward interaction with Mr Andy Jordan. When I saw him I completely froze and turned to Nicole, for moral support, should I talk to him? should I ask him for a picture? As he walked past, he noticed me, smiled and then came over for a little chat... overall, this interaction was super awkward but, it was really nice to see him and we said we hang out later. A millisecond later, a bunch of girls came up behind us, fangirling hard over Andy Jordan, I think one of them may have even passed out. Still in shock from my Andy Jordan interaction, Nicole and I started walking to the stage as we did, we walked past someone who looked uncannily alike to Mr Tom Odell, I starred at one of the guys he was with, as he looked familiar, I thought he was from some band, he smiled politely and said 'hi', I returned the gesture and carried on walking, only to find out later that we really did walk past Tom Odell and his mates!! I was soo annoyed... WHY DIDN'T I ASK HIM FOR A SELFIE?! Ohh well, eh? No, no, no, I don't think I'll ever be over this until I have had a picture with Tom Odell.

Anyways, we went to the stage and watched Andy perform, he was AMAZING! Such an incredible performer, with a unique dance style and one hell of a voice.

After his performance, he came into the crowd for photo's and I went up to him all cutsie and fake fangirling and asked him for a photo, which Nicole kindly took. We took 3 in total all of which I will caption for you...

Nicole: Someone photobombed you, you might want to take another.

Nicole: Dude, your eyes were shut and you were talking.

(Andy then whispers in my ear pull a funny face, so then you'll have 3 pictures to sum up are awkwardness)
Nicole: Now you guys are just taking the piss.

After we took pictures, we got some drinks and hung out for a bit, until he had to leave. Nicole and I continued watching bands but, by this time it was gone 6pm and we got some dinner and started preparing ourselves for TOM ODELL! By this time the weather was much better and I bumped into some other friends so we all got to hang out for a bit. Tom then came on stage and he was AMAZING! I honestly thought he was going to be this very intimate and shy performer but, boy was I wrong! He was dancing on stage, throwing chairs, microphones and drumsticks all around the place, he was jumping off the stage, running into the crowd, it was mesmerizing to watch.

Afterwards, we got a lift back to mine, I was still in shock as to how amazing the day had been! To the point were I wasn't going to get much sleep that night. If any of you went to Tune In The Dunes, let me know you highlights of the weekend down in the comments! I'd love to hear what you all got up to!
