I can't believe it's taken me this long to buy this book! After hearing lots of other bloggers raving about it, I knew this kind of book would be right up my street. As you guys know I sometimes get really anxious, especially in social situations, using public transport on my own and not to mention the day to day struggles, dealing with the public and the pressure that society puts on young people, to look and act a certain way. So I bought this book, to answer all my questions and to hopefully learn some new techniques of dealing with anxiety.
So far, I've been loving this book! It's not your typical tips and tricks book, it includes: helpful ways of coping with anxiety and how to feel calm, from meditation techniques, to how to run the perfect bath. It has a few activities, like colouring in pages and dot to dots and it has a journal aspect, asking what made you feel calm today? So you can look back on them when your anxious and remember that day, what made you feel calm and if you can continue to apply that technique to your 'anxious days'. This book is filled with beautiful illustrations and if your like me and are a massive fan of cool typography, then check this book out, every page is a piece of art and extremely beautiful to look at. Not to mention all of the helpful advice this book has to offer. The few main themes that apply in this book are, Nature, Sleep, Travel, Relationships, Work, Children, Creativity, Food - which of course entail a variety of things but, they tend to be the main stresses and outlets in our day to day lives. Even if you don't have anxiety, this is a really great self help book and a brilliant read! I'd recommend it, to literally anyone!
If you're one step ahead of me and have already read this book, then let me know what you thought of it, down in the comments and what were your favourite parts?
