Hello Beauties,
I'd firstly like to start this post by saying a massive THANK YOU for all of your beautiful birthday messages you guys are super sweet! At the beginning of the week, I was lucky enough to get 5 days off from work, so I could go away for a few days to pamper myself as it was my birthday!
~ Monday ~
Nicole and I left Truro and headed to St Ives on Monday. We stayed at the very beautiful Tregenna Castle and once we got there, we filmed some bits for a Lookbook, which will be coming out very soon! We also explored the grounds and the rest of the castle, it was a really chilled day. Then in the evening Nicole and I had a lovely meal at the restaurant in castle, we then headed up to our room, I had a relaxing bath and a face mask. Then we watched Joe and Casper's Hit The Road, which was soo good or at least what I saw of it was good, as I fell asleep halfway through the film in true Megan style!
~ Tuesday ~
Tuesday, was my Birthday day and it was soo AMAZING!!! I woke Nicole up to all of the Birthday songs I had downloaded onto my laptop, I then danced and sang all around the room and then Nicole gave me my presents in bed. She was so kind and got me some new make-up brushes, Frozen, a Doc McStuffins calendar and a few other bits and bobs. We then went to breakfast and then checked out the pool, sauna, hot tub and some cute fitness instructor. I then headed back to bed and edited a few videos. We had a couple of hours to kill before our spa treatments so we went into town for a bit, to see what I bought tune into my 'What I Bought Wednesday' next week! The spa treatments we had that afternoon were soo good! It was my first proper 'spa experience' and I loved it! We had full body massages and facials, so relaxing that I even fell asleep for a part of it! Afterwards, I started getting ready for my birthday meal and we just hung out in our hotel room for a bit. I went all out on my hair and make-up, as I love the process of getting ready for a night out. We ended up going for a meal at Pizza Express in St Ives, it was delicious! Then we headed back to the castle to get some drinks at the bar, we took them up to our room and watched Frozen and ate pick 'n' mix.. best day ever right?!
~ Wednesday ~
Wednesday, was time to say goodbye to St Ives and hello to Penzance for the day! We decided to do a spot of shopping in Penzance for the day, mum came and met Nicole and I there, so we could drop our stuff in her car and hit the shops! They have a great New Look in Penzance and a few cute nick nacky shops that I really like too! It was a lovely day!
~ Thursday ~
Thursday was a day of catching up on sleeping, editing and blogging. I also, mentally prepared myself for having to go back to work on Friday. I just didn't want these few days off to end!
~ Friday ~
On Friday not only did I have a long day at work! But we all then went out for a meal, as we had a leaving do for a colleague at work. After the meal a few of us hit the clubs and here I am with the lovely Hannah (aka my bae), we had a fabulous night out, bring on our Christmas party next week, super exciting!!
~ Saturday ~
Now before you guys say anything.. No, I wasn't hungover on Saturday! As I am a sensible "adult" I didn't drink too much the night before, I know my limits and when to stop. However, Saturday was probably the most stressful day of my week! You guys know that I suffer from Anxiety and to be honest with you, Saturday was a struggle. It was my day that I was in charge of the department and I struggled to keep it together but, I did do my best to be professional and the best that I could be. There were parts of the day were it was soo busy that I could have quite easily cried my eyes out, as it just got too overwhelming for me. I had to deal with a lot of rude customers and I get it, it's Christmas it's bound to happen, don't let it get to you ect, but I just really wasn't prepared for the mania of how crazy it was! It was a miracle that I actually got through that day! I won't go into details but, lets just say a thank you to the amazing guys I work with, if it wasn't for you guys letting me have a rant between customers, Saturday could have been a very different day, if you know what I mean! So thanks guys!
~ Sunday ~
Sunday, was a very sad day. One of our beautiful cats, Jess got put down. She was very poorly and had been, on and off for the last few years. It seemed the best decision was to get her put down as she was not going to get any better, she had a condition that would have affected her, for the whole of her life. It wasn't fair on her to be in soo much pain and it wouldn't have been fair on the other cats, as her condition would have needed a lot of attention. She will be very much missed! She was 13 years old when she passed and has lived a full life, with a lot of love. R.I.P Jess <3
Thanks for reading!
Lots of Love, Hugs and Kisses,
