Anything Can Happen Friday | NYE Make-Up Inspiration with Bourjois

Bourjois is one of my favorite make-up brands, it's an affordable French inspired brand, that you can get at most local drug stores. Using the following products, I put together a New Years Eve inspired make-up look.

I started off by applying the 'Healthy Mix' foundation in the shade 02. I think this is my forth bottle of this foundation, it's one of my absolute favorites! It gives a full, clean, even coverage and leaves your skin looking naturally dewy. To go hand in hand with this, I used the 'Healthy Mix' concealer in the shade 01. Whenever I use concealer I always go a shade lighter, to give a natural brighten for under the eyes and I put a little bit on my t-zone too. For my contour, I used this 2 in 1 contour and highlight bronzer in the shade 55.

Now onto my eyes, to achieve this look I used 3 products. I started off using this Bourjois quad, in the shade 01 'Grey & Night'. In the corner of my eyes I used the white eye shadow and then blended that out into the lighter grey color and the used the dark grey color in my crease. I then applied the 'Khol & Contour' eyeliner in the shade 71 'Ultra Black' in my waterline and to top the look off I used the 'Volume Reveal' mascara. This is a brilliant mascara, it gives the illusion of longer, thinner and natural eyelashes.

Then to complete this look, I thought I'd do a natural lip to make this look, look a little more sultry. I started off by applying lip liner in the shade 08 'Corail aie aie'. Then to top it off, I used the brand new Rouge Velvet lipstick in the shade 01 'Hey Nude!'. I love this new lipstick range from Bourjois, they're super long-lasting and when you apply them they do feel quite satin but, they do dry nude and look fabulous on!

Here's my completed look! If any of you have tried the Bourjois brand, let me know what you think of them down in the comments and let me know which products you'd love to see me try out next!

Anything Can Happen Friday | I Dyed My Hair..

I've been contemplating what to do with my hair for many months now. I thought about getting extensions, as I'm growing it out but, I decided instead of spending loads of money on hair extensions that I'd dye my hair to make it look a bit more interesting. As for choosing what colour to go, it was a no brainier! BLUE of course! This look is inspired by Hayley Williams and Halsey. To get this colour I bleached my hair with Live XXL lightener and Directions Turquoise semi-permanent hair colour. Let me know what you think of it down below in the comments! I've had lots of positive feedback already, I can't believe I didn't do it sooner.

Anything Can Happen Friday | *Preview* Vintage Life Magazine Photoshoot

As the launch of the May issue of Vintage Life Magazine is soon to be coming out, I thought I'd share with you a little sneak peak of whats to come. A few weeks back I was offered an amazing opportunity to do a photoshoot with Cornwall's finest photographer, Emma Griffin and of course I took the opportunity with both hands. I starred in the fashion editorial as a 1920's model, I was completely in my element. I was in love with everything from the make-up, to the hair, the clothes and the hats, I was completely mesmerized in my surroundings. It was such an amazing experience to be apart of, I'm so glad I got involved. As you guys know I suffer from anxiety so it's always good for me to take a step out of my comfort zone and say yes to things I'd normally turn down. I can't wait for the issue to come out and for you guys to see what we've been working on!

Anything Can Happen Friday | 2016 Review and Instagram Best Nine

2016 was a big year for me! I achieved so much and had a blast doing it! Earlier in the week I posted my 2017 New Years Resolutions as apart of my 'Motivational Monday' post, so I thought I'd do a quick re-cap on last years resolutions and if I managed to achieve any of them...

1. Get Fit
Well I did join a gym, but to answer the question honestly, I probably didn't but I'm not giving up!
2. Move Out
I did go flat hunting and started looking into moving out but, sadly the timing wasn't right. Hopefully this year will be the year!
3. Get A New Camera
Yes! Yes! Yes! I didn't just get 1 new camera, I got 2! I got a DSLR to film my main channel videos (Nikon D5200) and I also got a new vlogging camera from my parents for my birthday, it's a neat little Sony!
4. Film A Music Video
Still in the works...
5. Read More
I hate to say but who has the time to read?
6. Take Off My Make-Up Before Bed
I did really well at the start of last year to do this but, coming to the end when my schedule go busier and busier, 2 minutes in the evening to take my make up off just got too much.
7. Write More
Now going by the amount that I've posted/haven't posted this year, you guys might be thinking the answer to this question is no but, yes I have. I've started writing a book all about my story and my experiences with Mental Health and growing up in today's society where there is so much pressure on young people to grow up quickly, look a certain way and to have your whole life planned out by 14, Well that just doesn't happen, so I wrote a book about it. Who knows as to whether one day it will get published but, I hope it does!
8. Be The Best That I Can Be
2016 was a great year! I did loads of things that would usually scare me, like going to London by myself, going to a festival and camping! I did it! I said yes and I managed to get somewhat of a grip over my anxieties.

Here's a quick sum up of 2016 and my #bestnine2016 from Instagram

@iamthlostwolf

January/ February

I started the year, with a Foxes inspired look, I had freshly cut bangs, a new look for my blog and partied with my fellow bloggers at a few local events. I had one of my annual conference trips to London, with Superdrug and went and got myself a promotion. My career was finally taking shape, I had a fresh outlook and I was totally a together woman!

March/April

TEGAN AND SARA LOVE YOU TO DEATH ALBUM WAS RELEASED!! My take off the tape video and blog post was released and I was completely overwhelmed with the flooded positive comments I received. I think that will definitely go up there with my top 5 favourite blog posts. I grew out my bangs and partnered up with Square hair salon in Falmouth for their Spring/Summer showcase, I had fabulous rose gold locks!

May/June

In May I partnered with Clunk magazine to write a fashion post for them, this involved taking part in photoshoot with an old friend from school, which I really enjoyed! Shortly, after however I had a slight mid-life crisis and thought dying my hair back to brown and getting an undercut was a great idea.. I cried for 4 weeks straight and barley left the house until I grew it long enough to cut back into my iconic Frankie Bridge pixie cut which I had when I was 15. June was a massive month! The Orlando shooting hit me hard and my heart broke just thinking about the tragedy that had happened. I shortly traveled to London all by myself and stayed in Camden for 2 nights, to go and see my icons, Tegan and Sara. It was my first trip away by myself, the whole experience was so fulfilling and something I will always treasure.

July/August

Was the month that I went back to my pixie cut roots. The end of the month was extremely stressful in my work life but, on the positive side my love life blossomed and July 15th was the day that Adam and I finally got together. I ventured out to my first festival of the season, MTV Crashes Plymouth. Followed by Boardmastes in mid-August. And to top of the best summer ever we had Pride 2016! I went to Pride the previous year but kinda sat back from the side lines, this year I was front and center dancing in the parade and sharing the love with my multicolored hair!

September/October

Early September I attended yet another conference with Superdrug, I had an absolute blast and even met Michelle Keegan! Little did I know that this conference would be last and my Superdrug career would come to an end. On the way home I had a phone call from Primark asking if I was still interested in the job, I would have been a fool to turn it down! October was filled with exciting projects, I had my photoshoot with Katherine and dazzled at Truro Fashion Week! At the end of October I transformed into Black Swan for one night only, I still can't believe how well I managed to do my make-up.. well done me!

November/December

November was a hectic month! The first weekend Nicole and I went to go and see Tom Odell at Plymouth Pavillions which was amazing! I even started my Christmas shopping while I was there.. another well done me moment. Primark Truro opened it's doors and was heaving with excited customers! I turned into Wonder Women, at a time were I definitely was not Wonder Woman. I left my teens and turned 20! Had a lovely weekend visiting St Ives and an amazing birthday bash with my bestie Claire! I celebrated Christmas jumper day at work by turning up as Elsa, I made so many kinds dreams come true that day! And I had a fabulous Christmas with loved ones!

That was my 2016 round up! Let me know in the comments what you're stand out 2016 moments were as I'd love to hear them! Much love x

Anything Can Happen Friday | First Look At My 2017 Calendar!!

A few weeks back I got together with a local photographer from Falmouth university, Katherine McMorran to do a shoot for her uni project. While I was there, she kindly offered to help me out by taking some photo's for my 2017 calendar. In previous years for my calendar I would usually take a selection of pictures from my lookbooks throughout the year but, as this year I've taken a creative gap from YouTube, as I really want to develop my channel and make it bigger and better than ever, I thought this year I'd arrange a photo-shoot and get it all done in a couple of days! Here's a little sneak peek..

I can't wait to reveal my calendar in full! I am so happy with these photo's, this was a very unique shoot for me as it was different to what I had done before. I loved every minute of this shoot and I'm sure Katherine and I, will be teaming up again in the future. I'm going to end this post with a couple of questions.. would you like a copy of my calendar? should this be something I put on sale? would you buy it? Get in touch, leave a comment, I'd love to know what you think!

Anything Can Happen Friday | Festival Packing

As Boardmasters is fast approaching, I thought I'd do a post all about what I'll be packing and what festival essentials I'll be taking with me!

1. Sunscreen - This is an essential item to be carrying around with you anyway but, it's very important to take while going to a festival as the weather is always very unpredictable! The one I'll be taking is this Soliat one, which is tan activating and if you're anything like me and tend to burn in the sun try this out as it genuinely gives you a subtle tan without getting burnt!

2. Face Wipes - I'm that person that says never take your make-up off with face wipes as it's so bad for your skin but, at a festival these will become your best friend! They're easier and more lightweight to pack, as apposed to brining your normal cleansers, toners and make-up removers. They're quick an easy to wipe your make-up off, at the end of the day. If your going make-up free to a festival, then you can use these for quick hydration thought the day, to keep your skin feeling clean and loved!

3. Dry Shampoo - At a festival your lucky if you don't have to queue for a pot-a-loo, let alone a shower! So go a day without washing you hair and apply a little bit of dry shampoo, not only will it give your hair a refreshing lift but, it will add volume and a beautiful texturized look!

4. Tiny Perfume Sample - As a lot of festivals can be very restrictive on how many areoles you bring, ditch the impulse for a tiny perfume sample! Working at Superdrug I'm lucky enough to get sent these all time, the one that I'm packing is the brand new Stella McCartney: Pop.. I'm sure if you head down to your local Superdrug and ask nicely at the fragrance counter, they might have some free samples to give away for your festival packing's!

5. Metallic Transfer Tattoos - I love metallic tattoos! You can add them to any outfit to really give you that festival vibe! I personally like to place them on my hands and wrists with loads of jewellery, it gives a bold boho look that I just love.

6. Make-Up Palettes - I really struggled at packing my make-up for Boardmasters but, as I went through my palettes I found 3/4 that I could use everyday instead of having to bring separate powders, blushers, highlighters ect and it saved a lot of space in my bag too which was a massive bonus!

7. Potable Phone Charger - If your going to a festival for a weekend I highly recommend you look into getting a portable phone charger! This will be your life saver over the weekend to keep your phone topped up, so you can use it throughout the day to take pictures of your favourite bands and to stay in touch with your friends. You can get them for as cheap as £3 or splash out up to £40 for a higher battery life. It will be so worth it!

If your going to a festival or have already been to one this summer, let me know which ones and how you found it! As I said I'm off to Boardmasters this weekend and it will be my first camping experience and I have soo many mixed emotions about it, so wish me luck!

Anything Can Happen Friday | PEAK-A-BOO UNDERCUT

After weeks of not knowing what to do with my hair, I made the rash decision to cut my hair back into a bob and get an edgy undercut. That is the result! I got it done last week and I'm still getting use it, I've found that it's taking me a lot longer to style and get ready in the morning (bizarre really considering how long it was). I'm obsessed with the undercut, just still not sure on the overall length, I think after a few months growing it out, it might start to look a little more like how I imagined it to be. When I originally got it done I had so many mixed emotions on how I felt about it, one minute I'd love it and feel like a total badass and the next minute I would be sobbing over how much I hated it and how I didn't feel feminine. I felt so bad at one point after scrolling on Instagram, I'd look at all the celebrities and tons of these beautiful girls with long thick hair and I took a look in the mirror, me with my short, flat, half shaved head and it just made me feel shit about myself! For a while it seriously knocked my confidence but, now as I said just getting use to it and/or dealing with it in a way. I need to keep reminding myself that there are plenty worse off and some don't get a choice in terms of their hair. Another thing I keep reminding myself of is that Tegan and Sara once had bad haircuts and they still looked hella cute!

Let me know your thoughts on this post down in the comments! Any bad haircut stories? What do you think of my new do? And what would you do in my position?

Anything Can Happen Friday | Nip + Fab Favourites

I've seen lots of bloggers raving about the Nip + Fab skincare range and as it went on offer recently in Superdrug, I thought I'd check out some of their products and let you guys know what I've been loving.

{Tummy Fix + Bust Fix - RRP £19.99 bought for 99p, I know bargain right?}

I bought these products on a total whim, didn't really have very high expectations! On the descriptions of these it say's 'to tighten skin around breast/tummy area', these are the areas I mostly have stretchmark's in. I bought them in the hope that it will help tighten the skin around my stretch marks and oh my.. I was soo impressed with these products, so I stocked up! They feel so luxurious when you apply them! The 'Tummy Fix', is a gel/serum consistency, feels a little cold to the skin but, in the best possible way. The 'Bust Fix', is slightly more think and creamy, it also smells amazing! I'm not even a quarter of a way through these and I'm already starting to see results, can't wait to see how much my stretch marks improve and I know these products will help get my summer body on track!

{Viper Venom Body Serum RRP £9.99, bought for £2.99}

This body serum is pure luxury for your skin! It's made up of syn-ake which was inspired by the effect of venom, which helps to make your skin look lifted, it also has skin tighter in it, to of course tighten and smooth the appearance of skin and it contains vitamin e for intense moisture. It's come out in a pearled gelly/serum formulation, which I love and is a bit of change from having all these different types of creams, it feels super cooling on the skin and absorbs instantaneously. This is an essential product and I'd highly recommend it!

{365 Body Glow Fix RRP £13.99, bought for £4.99}

This is another gel based body product but, this one has a gradual tan to it. Within 4 hours after application, it leaves a beautiful sun kissed finish and unlike other gradual tans, you can use this one on your face. It contains white tea to brighten and refresh and vitamin e for moisture and protection. I love it and I'm definitely going to be reaching for it a lot in summer!

{Deep Cleansing Fix RRP £7.95, bought for £3.95}

This has to be one of my favourite skin care products of all time! This cleansing milk, is just fabulous, I love to use this to take my make-up off, I'll apply a little bit onto my hands and rub together, to warm the cream up and then I'll apply it all over my face. The make-up just melts away, leaving your skin feeling soft and revived. You can also use this as a face mask, for an intense deep cleanse and I love that you can do that, it just makes the product even more versatile. If like me, your new to the Nip + Fab range, make this the first product you try! At only £3.95 on special offer, it's well worth every penny!

Let me know in the comments what skincare products you've been trying and loving!

Anything Can Happen Friday | Current Skin Care Favorites

Today I thought I'd share with you my current skin care favorites. The past few months my skin has been playing up, it's either too dry, too oily or I'll have the occasional breakout. So I went on the search for some new products to shake up my normal routine and here' what I found and loved.

Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalizing Roll On {RRP £4.99} - If your like me and are constantly on the go in the early hours, rushing around getting for work than this product, is a life saver! I apply this in the morning after I wash my face. It cools and reduces the appearance of dark circles under the eyes, as well as, hydrates and brightens. Definitely a must have product!

Burt's Bee's Almond and Milk Hand Cream {RRP £10} - This has been my go to product especially on those colder days. My hands are constantly dry and sore and as someone who works in retail your constantly using your hands, so they tend to dry out a lot quicker. I love this hand cream in particular because, the consistency is so thick and creamy, it absorbs to the skin quickly and doesn't leave your hands feeling sticky or like you've applied products. It's a very intense treatment which is perfect for me!

B. Pure Micellar Oil {RRP £6.99} - Out of all of these products, this one has probably made the biggest impact on my skincare regime. As I said at the beginning I've had a few breakouts and when I have breakout, I use certain spot prone products on my skin, which can strip my skin of it's natural oils and take away moisture. This products puts all the goodness back into my skin. A little bit goes along way and one sweep of this on my face using a cotton pad, makes my skin feel luxurious.

B. Pure Micellar Water {RRP £4.99} - This is quite similar to the Micellar oil but, of course is more water based. Which leaves your skin feeling refreshed. I find the only way I can separate the 2 is I find, the water easier to remove make-up and leaves your skin feel clean and fresh, whereas I use the oil for moisture and clearing imperfections. Both are amazing and definitely worth trying out! They're perfect for any skin type, even the most sensitivite. The B. range also is not tested on animals and completely vegan which is just a great stamp of approval from me.

Nivea Eye Make-Up Remover {RRP £3.49} - Over time I've found a lot of eye make up removers to be either crap, or can leave my eyes feeling very irritated. This is one that I've found which gets on with my skin really well and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. It's perfect for removing mascara even the toughest waterproof, comes straight off in one wipe, brilliant!

The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balm in Strawberry {RRP £2} - This affordable product should be in your handbag! A definite essential for day to day and on the go! Coming up to the warmers months you need to makes sure you don't forget to moisturize your lips, we all remember to moisturize our face and body but, we can tend to forget our lips but, it's so important we don't.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturizer {RRP £16} - This is a product I've recently revisited. When I first bought it I loved it but, kinda forgot about it and now I can't believe I lived so long without it! It hydrates your skin, leaving this beautiful soft and supple feel. Your skin looks so healthy, refreshed and shows off your natural glow. It has a cream/gel consistency it feels so light on the skin and absorbs from the first contact. I love it and can' wait to try out the rest of the vitamin C range!

Anything Can Happen Friday | Testing **BRAND NEW** Maybelline Products

I spoke briefly in a recent vlog, about been given some new Maybelline products to try out. All of which I LOVE and can't wait to tell you about in this post! For this post I've created a make-up look using mostly Maybelline products, it's perfect for Spring/Summer and I'm OBSESSED with this look, it's kinda different to what I normally wear, so let me know what you think of it in the comments and if you think I can pull it off?

It's not my typical matt lipstick and extreme contour. However, I am loving using eyeliner again, I think it really suits me and.. yes.. I did have to re-do it twice but, I think it's worth it! Take a closer look at the products I used..

Maybelline Dream Satin Foundation in the shade Ivory // This is an oldie but a goodie! I forgot how good this foundation is! It glides on perfectly, feels so soft and light on the skin. It has a really good heavy coverage and it's this lovely dewy consistency.

Maybelline Dream Velvet Blender // My current beauty obsession is.. beauty blenders! They are literally a life saver and I can't believe it's taken me soo long to try these out! They are AMAZING my foundation looks so much better than, if I were to use your typical foundation brush. It applies so much smoother and looks flawless! If you haven't already, you need to get on the beauty blender band wagon.

Maybelline Master Ink Matte Eyeliner // This eyeliner is fab! The brush is small and long, easy enough to use, to perfect the classic cat eye look. It also dries completely matte, so if it's done right it can look amazingly flawless.

Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette // I've been raving about this palette for ages! Probably since it came out, it has the perfect mixture of matte and shimmer shades, from golden browns to slate grey. These colours are perfect for my day to day use and never goes out of style.

Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Lipstick in the shade Crystallised Copper // Firstly this shade has now been discontinued! However, I thought it would look great for this look, you can probably get something similar in the same range, I just wanted to include it to talk about how amazing these are! They last literally all day long, no need to top up or re-apply, they're amazing you need to try them! On one end you have the colour and the other has a clear balm, which when used together creates ultimate shine and long-lasting durability.

Maybelline Brow Drama Chubby in the shade Medium Brown // When I first saw these I was really intrigued as to how they would turn out. They're not your typical, pen or pencil but, almost like a crayon, which I don't think any other brand has done. I like how you can build up the structure or build it down. What I mean by that is, you can apply lightly to have a slightly fuller look, or you can define them quite harshly and have them looking super full, like Cara Delevingne scale. I love it!

Maybelline Push Up Effect Mascara // When I first saw the brush and the consistency of the product, I thought I was going to hate it. It looked thick, heavy and cheap! But when I tried it, OMG! It's insane, my lashes look longer, more defined and now has a natural curl. I love the effect of this mascara, definitely one of my favourite from the high street! Love, love, love!

Anything Can Happen Friday | 5 Easy Steps On How I Clean My Make-Up Brushes

Cleaning your make-up brushes is really important! It's a chore that sometimes gets overlooked but, ladies it's something we all need to start doing. Especially if you suffer from spot prone skin as the bacteria from the brushes, that you then put on your face, can build up and cause new spots to arise, which we don't want, right girls? They say that you should clean your brushes once a month but, I know people that do it weekly or every six months, so it really can vary on how often you use your make-up brushes. I tend to do mine every 8-12 weeks and I found that is just enough time for me personally, although I do find I clean my blending sponge weekly, as it gets mucky pretty quickly.
In this post, I'll be showing you a step by step on how I clean my make-up brushes, I've heard different techniques from many bloggers and nowadays there are alot more products out there to clean your brushes with, one of which I'll be showing you today.

I'm going to be using this No7 Make-Up Brush Cleanser. Which retails at around £7 in Boots. You can get alternatives in other brands, Real Techniques have just brought out their own Make-Up Brush Cleanser, Mac, B. and Make-Up Revolution also do similar products.

I'm also going to be using a tea tree shampoo. Any normal shampoo will do, I'm using this one as it has tea tree in it which will fight any bacteria in the make-up brushes, as I do get spot prone skin this is an added benefit! I would also recommend simple shampoo or baby shampoo, as they will make your brushes softer, some shampoo's can dry out the brushes but, these will add extra softness and will really give your brushes some plump!

Step 1: Fill up your bowl or sink with luke warm water and select the brushes you would like to clean. I tend to do my thicker brushes first as they take longer to dry.

Step 2: Give your brush a little swirl in the water and you will automatically see, make up coming off.

Step 3: Add your make-up brush cleanser, shampoo or oil, as I said you can get a variety of cleaning products for your brushes.

Step 4: Work in the mixture, hold your brush so it's pointing down twist and squeeze the excess make-up out of the brush. Do steps 3 + 4 until the water runs clear, that's when you know you've gotten all of the make-up out.

Step 5: This step is optional. I would then add shampoo, to soften the brushes, give them that nice clean and fresh feel. It will also help to plump them back into shape, when you leave them to dry.

Once your happy that your brush is totally clean and free of make-up. I would then leave them overnight to dry, either on top of or next to a radiator, or I leave mine in my airing cupboard. Then wa-la when you wake up in the morning you'll have lovely clean brushes to do your make-up with!

Here's a little before shot...

...And here's the after shot! How much better do they look after a good cleaning, eh?

If any of you guys try this out at home let me know what you thought and if it's something you'll be doing more regularly. Also if you guys have tried out similar products to my No7 cleanser, feel free to leave me any suggestions of ones I should try next and what methods have worked for you!
