The show took place a couple of weeks back at the Regal Theater in Redruth. I was so nervous for show day but super excited at the same time! Leading up to the performance I had a lot of help from my singing teacher and lots of encouragement from the other people in my group, they really helped with my confidence, as I've only sung in front of people a handful of times. The show went really well! I and the best time ever playing Amy, I wish I could do it all over again! Shoutout to my CDS fam, I couldn't have done it without you!

Tunes Tuesday | Becoming Amy Winehouse
After doing dance in the past, I thought I'd start a new hobby and join my local Musical Theater classes. Since I was a child I've loved singing and dancing so I knew doing something like this would be right up my street! Things were going really well and after a few lessons, I was offered to do a solo in our end of year show, which was Top of The Pops themed. The show was about a young girl who wants to become a singer and after her mum gave her a Walkman, it then went into a dreamlike sequence and showcased a wide variety of music from different decades. Not only was I offered the incredible opportunity to play the young girl who dreams of becoming a singer, I was also offered the incredible role of Amy Winehouse! Now as you guys know, Amy Winehouse is one of my idols and someone that I've always admired in the music industry. Her song writing ability was one of the things that made her so so special, she was able to tell relatable stories through her music and that's one of the things about her that really spoke to me. When I found out I was going to be paying tribute to her, I was over the moon! And took the opportunity with both hands!
