e.l.f Cosmetics | First Impressions **REVIEW**

e.l.f. Cosmetics is one of the newest brands to enter Superdrug stores and after all the hype I heard from the success the range had in the U.S. I couldn't wait to try it out for myself! e.l.f stands for eyes, lips and face and is a cruelty free make-up brand, sold in more than 17 countries, the brand originated in the big, bright and beautiful New York. With prices starting at only £3, it's safe to say elf is an affordable make-up brand, sure to make it's way into you hearts very soon! These are the products I had my eye on to try out first!

elf had such a wide range of primers to try out from hydration to colour correction but, I went for the illuminating face primer. If you guys aren't too sure what a primer is then let me tell you. Primers are something you put on your face before you apply your foundation, it helps to smooth out and blur pores, it creates a smooth base before you apply your foundation and it helps to keep your make-up in place throughout the day. When you first apply this primer there's a slight tint, which is a yellow colour but don't panic because once it's all rubbed in, you won't be able to notice the tint. It definitely has a shimmer to it, perfect for festival season and will give your highlighter a day off and it's only £7.50!

During the summer I normally have really oily and greasy skin and with that comes breakouts (no this isn't a proactive advert), this year I started my breakout treatments early, so when the temperature started to rise my skin wasn't affected in the slightest. While my skin has been in such good condition I thought I'd reward my skin and lay off the foundation and instead swap it for this alternative. The elf foundation serum, which has an spf 25 in it. This product has been a skin saviour! It keeps my skin hydrated and protected in the sun, it's a very watery based product, it gives a light an even finish and doesn't feel heavy on the skin and retailing at £9!

I have a love hate relationship with eyeliner... I'd do anything to speed up the process of applying eyeliner in the morning and I think I've just found the trick. I've been seeing a lot of beauty vloggers using tape to apply their eyeliner and OMG it's the best piece of beauty advice I could ever offer anyone now! You apply the tape to the very bottom corner of you lash and point it in the direction of the end of your eyebrow, you don't have to put tape all the way to your eye brow just keep it in line. Then using this elf black intense liquid eyeliner start on the edges inwards and the results are just breath taking and all in one simple stroke. This eyeliner was only £4.50, for that price you should pick it up and try it out for yourself!

And finally the last product in this haul, elf's matte lip colour in natural. Unlike a lot of matte lipsticks this one is in a twist up chubby pencil form. I wore this lipstick the other day when I went to lunch with friends, after I'd eaten the lipstick was still on my lips, it hadn't budged at all. That's how you know it's a good long lasting lipstick, for only £4.50 too!

Here's what all of the products look like together on. I could definitely get use to doing this look more often. It's so natural and simple.. could this be a new version of me? Who knows! I hope you guys liked this post, leave a comment below if you've tried out any elf products and what you thought of them! Have a nice day!
