Hellllooo Everyone,
Recently, I've been reminiscing with my friends about the music we listened to as kids, which got me thinking and got me writing all about my top 10 favourite childhood songs. Getting this list down to the top 10 was hard, as I went through phases of liking soo many different artists and musicals but, I just about managed it...
1) Spice Girls - Wannabe // To be honest this is still one of my favourite songs! Apparently, when I was a kid my dad use to play this to me as a 'treat' for being good, we also had it on cassette... remember those?
2) Camp Rock - This Is Me // When I heard this song, I fell in love with Demi Lovato! I thought she was soo cool in this film and I love her style and this song in particular.
3) S Club 7 - EVERY SINGLE SONG THEY DID // When I was a kid S Club 7 had their own TV show and film and they were literally all I loved and watched and sang along too! They played a massive part in my childhood.
4) High School Musical - When There Was Me And You // High School Musical was my absolute fave as a kid me and a friend use to learn all of the dance routines and use to practice all the time and even put on mini performances in my bedroom!
5) Cheetah Girls - Strut // You might start sensing a pattern, I was basically obsessed with Disney as a kid and the Cheetah Girls were no exception, I loved Raven Symone and still do!
6) Hairspray - Without Love // I loved this movie the second I saw it and this song in particular stood out to me when I first watched it and to this day I still love the film and all of the songs but, let's be honest who doesn't?
7) Hilary Duff - This Is What Dreams Are Made Of // Come on?! Who didn't like Lizzie McGuire?! Best Disney programme ever and I loved the film too.
8) Avril Lavigne - Complicated // I think everyone went through an Avril Lavigne phase, where they wore ties with tank tops and baggy jeans and walked around with a skateboard, pretending to be super cool, right?.. Or is it just me?
9) JoJo - Leave (Get Out) // THIS WAS MY JAM!! I'm still obsessed with this today, if you've never heard this song, you need to re-adjust your life and go listen to it.. like right now!
10) McFly - Star Girl // When I was a kid it was always McFly or Busted, now we're fortunate enough to have both but, back then we had to decide and I chose McFly all the way! I fancied the pants off of Dougie.. Still do, Ellie Goulding is a lucky lady and I think Star Girl was probably one of my faves!
Just thought I'd take a minute to reflect on some songs that didn't make it to the top 10, Girls Aloud - Biology, Sugababes - About You Now, Demi Lovato - LaLa Land, The Jonas Brothers - Burnin' Up, Destiny's Child - Survivor and Amerie - One Thing.
