As you guys know, a couple weekends ago I saw Tom Odell playing at 'Tunes In The Dunes'... Which was AMAZING! So, I thought I'd take today to recap on why I admire him.
Firstly, his debut album 'Long Way Down' was impeccable! The stand out songs for me include, 'Grow Old With Me', 'I Know', 'Long Way Down' and 'Another Love'. My favourite song from the album is 'Can't Pretend', a song about being in a relationship were the other person pretends to be someone who they're not, it's completely relatable and so simple. His vocals on this album are, just breathtakingly beautiful. He's so talented and so passionate for what he does and that really comes across, not only in the album but, when he performs live too.
Sorry but, I had to go there! His performance at 'Tunes In The Dunes' was outstanding and if he ever comes back to Cornwall or Devon, I'm definitely going to be first in line to see him play. When he was on stage he was so full of energy and passion for what he does and watching it from the audience's perspective it was thoroughly entertaining.
Also, while at 'Tunes In The Dunes', Tom announced that he's still working on his second album, which I'm super excited and I'm sure you guys are too!
